Teaching Resources for the Busy Classroom Music Teacher
Rhythm Reading Exercises for the Music Classroom
Here you will find a comprehensive collection of rhythm reading exercises designed for use in classroom settings, band rooms, and instrumental lessons. These resources aim to assist students in honing their rhythmic playing skills. Recognising the demands placed on music educators, these music teaching resources were created to include both music scores and accompanying play-along recordings, making them ideal for use as pre-made activities, homework assignments, or assessment tools.
The play along videos corresponding to these rhythm reading exercises are available for free on YouTube at Music Theory Made Simple.

Scales and Arpeggio Exercises for the Woodwind Players
We have been creating play-along scales worksheets for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, alto, tenor and baritone saxophone. There are video play-alongs for flute, clarinet, bassoon, alto and tenor saxophone. The flute video can be used by oboe and other C treble instruments and the alto saxophone video can be used by the baritone saxophone player.
The booklets below are listed in concert pitch and the parts have been transposed accordingly for each of the woodwind family to play in the correct key with the play-alongs. This is a growing bank of resources so keep checking back for more materials. If there is anything you would like adding or creating, please reach out and let us know. We are happy to help!
